If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please bring them to our hospital immediately. If possible, call us on the way so we can prepare for your arrival.

Our focus is on dogs and cats. For other pets such as rabbits, rodents, birds, and reptiles, please speak to our client care team before bringing your pet to the hospital. We do not treat farm animals, horses or wildlife.

Our focus is full-service urgent care for companion animals.

Our team will triage your sick or injured pet on arrival. After our veterinarian reviews initial findings with you, they may recommend further testing or treatment for your pet. Our hospital is fully equipped to perform testing such as bloodwork, ultrasound and x-rays, as well as treatments ranging from intravenous fluids and pain management through to emergency surgery for conditions such as wound repair, gastric dilatation and volvulus (GDV), C-section, and intestinal obstruction. For the most critical cases, after evaluating and stabilizing the patient, our veterinarians may recommend transfer to another hospital for care by veterinary specialists such as a board-certified criticalist, neurologist, or surgeon.

We do not provide routine wellness care such as vaccinations, new pet examinations, spay and neuter surgery, microchipping, routine medication refills, or dentistry. Please book this care with your family veterinarian.

We offer digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house laboratory testing to diagnose and treat your pet's medical conditions.

Yes, we have a fully stocked pharmacy on-site to provide your pet's medications and prescription food.

In cases where a pet is not ready to go home, a number of care options are available. Our veterinarians will carefully review these options with owners that find themselves in this situation.

Our hospital handles same‑day illnesses and injuries, while your regular veterinarian manages ongoing and preventive care. After your visit, we share records so your primary vet can continue any needed follow‑up.

All patients are triaged when they arrive. Triage means that we assess the severity of the problem to help determine which patients should be treated first. While we strive to keep wait times to a minimum, especially for pre-booked appointments, we are obligated to care for patients according to their triage status, rather than on a first-come first-served basis.

If you are waiting, it means that your pet is stable enough to do so. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Our urgent care exam fee is $YYY.YY (tax included). After the initial exam, our veterinarians will give you a written estimate of costs for any recommended diagnostics, procedures, and treatments and discuss the estimate and care options with you. You always have the option to accept or decline some or all of the recommendations. Once you are comfortable with a specific treatment plan, a 50% deposit will be required prior to treatment. Invoices must be paid in full at the time of your pet's discharge from the hospital.

For owners that have insured their pet for medical care, we have the capability to process your Trupanion claim for direct to hospital payment. We can also submit to other insurance providers on your behalf.

We accept cash, debit card, VISA, Mastercard, American Express. For payment by etransfer, please speak to our client care team. We do not accept personal cheques. We do accept certified cheques. We do not offer payment plans. Financing through ScratchPay or Petcard is accepted; applications are available at our front desk.

Our owners have more than 50 years of combined experience providing emergency and urgent care to pets in the Fraser Valley. Many of our staff have worked together for years at emergency and community veterinary practices across the lower mainland.
